The City of Providence Department of Art, Culture and Tourism (ACT) is embarking on a study to better understand the economic impact of Providence’s life at night. This is the first time a large-scale study of this sector has ever been conducted.
Defining the contribution that businesses like yours make to our city’s economy and job base will help foster a much more constructive and sensible approach to managing the issues that impact you. This work will also provide data to help your industry tell a compelling story about the role that nighttime-oriented business plays in the city’s cultural, social and economic life.
Thank you for taking some time out of your day (we hope no more than 10 minutes) to respond to this survey/este encuesta. The better the response rate, the more compelling and useful this study will be in telling the important story of the contribution your businesses make. If you have any questions at all don’t hesitate to reach out to Dr. Micah Salkind, Deputy Director of the Department of Art, Culture and Tourism, at 401-680-5774 or msalkind@providenceri.gov.
We are hoping to complete survey collection by early June. All answers will be kept anonymous and leaving your business’s name or contact information is optional.
Thank you again for helping ACT and the City better understand and support the needs of our Providence’s life at night businesses!
