Holding a mock election in your classroom is a great way to prepare your students to vote and get them excited to engage in the democratic process. Mock elections will help students understand the importance of civic participation and increase the likelihood that they will participate the voting process.

Serving as a poll worker is a great way to spend Election Day. Being a poll worker gives you a first hand view at the democratic process and can pay up to $200 for a single day’s work.
If you would like more information on holding a Mock Election or if you are interested in becoming a Polling Official, please contact the Board of Canvassers by calling (401) 421-0495 or by visiting us in room 102 Providence City Hall.
