PROVIDENCE, RI – Mayor Jorge O. Elorza and volunteers will distribute free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests to Providence residents at the West Broadway Neighborhood Association (1560 Westminster Street, Providence, RI 02909) tomorrow at 4:00PM. While all Providence residents are eligible to receive a free COVID-19 test kit, residents in hard hit zip codes, such as 02907 and 02909, are highly encouraged to attend.
Supplies are limited and each individual will receive one test kit after confirming proof of Providence residency. Test kits include two at-home rapid antigen tests. Acceptable forms of residency examples include a driver’s license, Providence municipal ID or current utility bill.
“Test kits are a valuable tool in slowing the spread of COVID-19, and there are many kits available for Providence residents,” said Mayor Elorza. “If you are a resident of a hard hit zip code, please come out, get a test kit and spread the word to your neighbors so we can work together to keep one another safe.”
