The Municipal Integrity Officer (“MIO”) is appointed by the Mayor and is primarily responsible for the education and training of all City employees and officials relative to their obligations under the City’s and State’s codes of ethics.
By ordinance, the MIO is also available to employees and officials on a confidential basis to answer questions, offer informal advice, and assist employees and officials who wish to seek formal guidance from either the Providence Ethics Commission or the Rhode Island Ethics Commission.
If you are an employee or official looking to speak with the MIO, Rosa E. Arias-Perry, you may call her at the City’s Law Department at (401) 680-5333 or email her.
Any member of the public may call the anonymous Ethics Hotline at 844.9ETHICS (844.938.4427) or file a formal complaint to report any circumstance or situation involving an employee or official of the City or a municipal agency which appears to violate or may potentially violate either the City or the State Ethics Code.
