Jillian H. Barker joined the office in April 2011. She earned a B.A. from Sacred Heart University, before attending Roger Williams University, where she obtained her law degree and an M.S. in Criminal Justice.
Attorney Barker participates in civil litigation in both state and federal court with a focus on municipal liability in police misconduct matters. Ms. Barker assists in providing counsel to the Providence External Review Authority (“PERA”) and the Juvenile Hearing Board. She is in charge of subpoena compliance for the City and deals with many police department related matters. Attorney Barker also has experience in criminal prosecution in State District Court, and municipal court, participated in prosecutions at the Board of Licenses and has assisted in drafting legislation.
Attorney Barker enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and two dogs.
