Kenneth B. Chiavarini has been with the Solicitor’s Office since 1999, and is the City’s primary legal counsel for labor and employment matters. Mr. Chiavarini drafts and reviews collective bargaining agreements, and has represented the City in countless labor arbitrations. While his primary agency focuses are the City’s Retirement and Worker’s Compensation Boards, he provides the benefit of his expertise to many city entities, including the Department of Public Safety, Human Resources, and School Department.
Mr. Chiavarini also advises the Board of Canvassers and oversees municipal elections, responding to inquiries concerning possible improprieties.
Attorney Chiavarini attended the University of Rhode Island and New England School of Law. He is known for his special ability to combine vigilance and affability.
