Sara joined the Providence Law Department in 2019. She is assigned to criminal prosecution in District Court, civil litigation in Superior Court, Public Records Requests, and is legal counsel for the Providence Ethics Commission. Sara has assisted the City with prosecution in the Housing Court and transactional work reviewing contracts. Her career in public service began in 2004, as a paralegal for the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General Criminal Division. Inspired by the work she was involved in, Sara attended New England Law Boston at night while working full time as a paralegal. She graduated in May 2010 and was a Special Assistant Attorney General from January 2011-2019. She specialized in criminal litigation, motion practice, jury trials, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and violent felony offenses. She has experience in the District, Family, and Superior Courts, as well as at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal and is licensed to practice in Rhode Island and the US District Court for Rhode Island.
