Enforcement of the Providence City Council’s weight limit was signed by Mayor Brett P. Smiley on April 5, 2024. This new ordinance aims to preserve local Providence infrastructure by keeping heavy vehicles off our local streets, safeguarding our neighborhoods and enhancing pedestrian safety. Enforcement of the ordinance began on April 8, 2024.
