Solares-Hand Currently Serves as Associate Director of Purchasing for the City

PROVIDENCE, RI – Mayor Jorge O. Elorza today announced today Sabrina Solares-Hand will serve as the Director of Operations for the City of Providence, starting May 29, 2018.
“During her time with the City, Sabrina has worked tirelessly to improve systems and make sure our operations run smoother,” said Mayor Jorge Elorza. “A proven leader, I look forward to working with her in this new capacity and trust that she will apply her unique skill set in this new position.”
Solares-Hand, a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and former External Affairs Associate for Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy has been serving as Associate Director of Purchasing since July 2017. In her role she has worked diligently to support City of Providence departments with purchasing efforts citywide, ensuring that the purchase of goods and services is conducted in a manner that complies with all local policy, and strategically streamlined purchasing and municipal procurement systems in Providence.
