Triggs Memorial Golf Course, located at 1553 Chalkstone Avenue in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Providence, is owned by the Parks Department and operated by FCG Associates under a lease agreement.
Triggs was designed by the nationally renowned golf course architect Donald Ross in the early 1930’s and opened in 1932. The course is acknowledged by Golf Magazine as one of the best municipal golf courses in New England. The Ross design uses the existing topography to create intriguing and challenging hole layouts.
Since taking over the management of Triggs in 1990, FCG Associates has invested in substantial capital improvements, including irrigation, cart paths, restored bunkers, and a driving range.
