Providence Water Parks, Pools and Cooling Centers

All City pools and water parks will be open for extended hours 12:00-7:00pm on Thursday August 1st and Friday August 2nd due to expected extreme heat conditions.

2024 Waterparks and Pool Schedule

  • Waterparks open for the season: June 24, 2024
  • All pools open for the season: July 1, 2024
  • Waterparks and pools will be closed for Independence Day on  July 4, 2024 and Victory Day on August 14, 2024
  • All pools close for the season: August 17, 2024
  • Waterparks close for the season: August 24, 2024
  • During July and August, Providence waterparks and pools will be open Monday through Saturday from 12:00PM to 5:00PM.

There are 13 waterparks and 5 outdoor pools located at recreation centers and neighborhood parks throughout the city. Waterparks and pools are free and open to the public.

Cooling centers will not provide food or beverage services and only service animals with certification are allowed.

Pools will open for the season on July 1, 2024 and will be open Monday through Saturday from 12:00PM to 5:00PM.
