What is a Resilience Hub?
- A Resilience Hub seeks to strengthen a community’s ability to adapt to, respond to and recover from the threats and hazards of climate change.
- Resilience Hubs provide opportunities for communities to become more self-determining, socially connected and resilient before, during and after emergencies or disasters.
Olneyville Resilience Hub
Resilience Hubs are community-driven facilities intended to meet the specific needs of residents around community resilience, climate change mitigation, emergency management and social equity. They may help provide information and resources before, during, and after extreme events, host cost-effective onsite power systems capable of reliably sustaining operations during an outage, and support ongoing community-led programming that enhances neighborhood cohesion, communication, and access to services. The Olneyville Resilience Hub team is working with local partners and residents to identify how this Resilience Hub could best serve its community.
